No-cost submission and publication
The whole process of publication is entirely free at The Submission Box, with no hidden fees.
In many environments, publishing can come with significant costs (with medians of ~$2000!) This creates barriers, and The Submission Box provides a means to publish without the cost.
Any age can publish
Anyone from a grade 1 proud of their painting to an elderly with a project they want to share can publish on The Submission Box.
Often, publication platforms have limits on age, preventing many from publishing their work. The Submission Box allows anyone to publish.
Publish no matter where you are from
The Submission Box welcomes work from all over the world.
We have noticed too many times that opportunities are limited by geographic location, creating barriers for great voices to be heard. We don’t believe that opportunities should be limited by where you live.
Publish without any help
Anyone can submit, regardless of affiliations. Previously submitted work may also be published.
Many publications don’t take submissions seriously unless an agent or affiliation reach out. We do.
Where we come in
The Submission Box exists to reduce those barriers. We publish work for free, we welcome submissions from any age and we are open to people from anywhere in the world.
We are built on a simple belief: good work exists everywhere, and access to publishing should not depend on proximity to institutions, finance or where someone lives.
The Submission Box is building an open place where all types of work can be shared, read, and valued—because access should come first.
